Petzl has established a new traceability criterion for its products. There are similarities with the previous one, which is still valid in some of the products by the French manufacturer.

 

 

         17: Year of manufacture

  • 17: Year of manufacture.
  • H: Month of manufacture. Consecutively ordered: A: January, B: February, C: March, …, L: December.
  • 0093785: Batch number.
  • 262: ID number of the sample.

So from 2017 on, the serial number of the product will be all the string as explained: 17H0093785262.
